British National Curriculum

Our educational project follows the British National Curriculum, adapted to the specific needs of a British school located in Spain.
The British education system promotes active learning, allowing students to explore, investigate, and practically apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired. This approach fosters a deep and meaningful understanding of the different subjects taught.

Practical learning
Practical work allows students to fully engage in their learning through active participation in projects, experiments, group investigations, workshops, and other activities that offer them the opportunity to explore through direct observation.
These experiences allow them to deepen their knowledge by applying the theory learned in the classroom. This not only sparks their curiosity and interest in learning, but also fosters teamwork, encouraging them to share ideas, collaborate with their peers, and communicate their discoveries.
Study of foreign languages
English is the teaching language in our curriculum, but this curriculum also focuses on learning different foreign languages. In this sense, our students begin learning French as a second foreign language in Primary (Year 2) and continue studying it as a compulsory subject until Year 7. Once they reach Secondary, they can choose French or German.

Evaluation and official exams
At the end of the Key Stage 4 academic cycle, in 4th ESO, students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge acquired throughout their academic career through the British IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) exams, thereby obtaining the double qualification: British and Spanish.
